Silicone breast milk collector, MEDELA

The silicone milk collector enables you to catch any let-down breast milk from the one breast whilst feeding baby on the other one. Its gentle suction action doesn't generate any sucking cycle, nor further stimulation, which means the collector can also be used to relieve engorgement. It comes with a stopper and a lid so you can keep the milk in the fridge.

This is not a breast pump, but rather a breast milk catcher, milk saver or silicone breast pump that does not generate any sucking cycles to actively remove milk from the breast in an effective and efficient manner.

Clean the device before you use it for the first time:
Remove the lanyard from the milk collector before you clean it. Do not clean the device with harsh chemical products.
Rinse thoroughly and clean the milk collector.
Place all the parts, except for the lanyard, in a container and fill it with cold water (demineralised water is recommended) until all the parts are completely submerged.
Bring the water to the boil and leave it to boil for about three minutes.
Place the parts on a clean surface and/or a clean towel and allow them to air dry. Do not store parts when they are wet or damp
After each use:
Always clean all parts as soon as possible after use.
The parts can be cleaned with mild dishwashing soap, then rinsed thoroughly in cold water. Do not use a bottle brush.
Check the silicone milk collector before each use. Do not use
the device if there are visible signs of wear or damage.
The milk collector is made from silicone, a material that oxidises easily and can turn yellow if used for a long time. This phenomenon has no effect on the operation of the parts.
Make sure that the device is not placed near any sharp objects during storage.
