In the UK, there are certain requirements
when it comes to car seat guidelines.
Children must travel in the appropriate child restraint
until they reach either 135cm in height, or 12 years old.
The advice below is here to help you to choose the right car seat,
so you can travel with your child in safety and comfort..

TYPE OF CAR SEAT: Rear-facing baby carrier with 5-point harness

Where does it fit?   Rear-facing in the back or front of the car,
only if the airbag is turned off.
This type of car seat should be fitted
with the seatbelt as, per the instructions.

Tip:  Change to a group 0+/1 car seat when your child reaches 13kg,
or when their head is higher than the top of the baby carrier.

BIRTH - 18KG (0 - 4 YEARS)



TYPE OF CAR SEAT: Recliner with 5-point harness

Where does it fit?   In the rear of the car. At first, the seat should be rear-facing up to 13kg,
then forward-facing when your child can hold themselves perfectly.

Tip:   Change to a group 0+/1 car seat when your child reaches 13kg,
or when their head is higher than the top of the baby carrier.

9 - 18kg (9 MONTHS - 4 YEARS)

Where does it fit?   In the rear of the car.

Tip:  Change to a group 1 car seat when your child’s head is higher than the top
of the baby carrier.

15 - 36kg (3 MONTHS - 12 YEARS)



TYPE OF CAR SEAT:High back car seat

Where does it fit?   In the rear of the car.

Tip:  Changing to a group 2/3 occurs when your child's shoulders exceed the
highest position of the 5-point harness.

Group 1/2/3

9 - 36kg (9 MONTHS - 12 YEARS)
